| The Closed Loop Core Training Process In
our experience, we have come to realize that the results from
evaluations of training effectiveness are only as good as was our
initial assessment of what triggered the need for training in the first
place. And, we have also come to know that what seems like a need for
training might not always be the case, once a thorough assessment of
the trigger for the training request has been completed.
Importantly,
multiple
methods and higher level evaluation methods are preferred, but
cannot always be achieved without predetermining them during the
assessment and design stages. Much the way it works with Shewhart and
Deming's PDCA concept, the more effective the assessment, the more
effective the design and delivery of the training and the resultant
evaluations will be. Evaluation results inform future assessments and
ultimately, the overall quality and effectiveness of any training
initiative.
